Researchers at the University of Illinois based in Chicago released a study concerning the social background and status of
immigrant day workers in the United States. The research, the first ever detailed sociological work on immigrant labor that composed mostly of Hispanic and other
illegal immigrants from various countries, stated that these laborers who wait for menial jobs across the country have families to feed and are religious observers.
